Filtering leads by location

Target leads in specific countries using the location filter for geographically focused prospecting.

Last updated: 8 August 2026

The location filter lets you focus on leads in specific countries. This is essential for geographically targeted sales efforts.

How it works

Select one or more countries from the dropdown. Results are filtered to show only leads based in those locations.

Location data comes from LinkedIn profiles, based on the location the person has listed.

Country-level filtering

LinkDeal currently supports country-level filtering. You can select:

  • United Kingdom
  • United States
  • Germany
  • France
  • Australia
  • And all other countries in the LinkedIn database

City or region filtering is not yet available.

Post Engagement vs ICP Search

Post Engagement: Location filter narrows results to people in your selected countries who engaged with the posts you searched.

ICP Search: Location can be included in your description ("salespeople in the UK") or applied via the filter. The filter stacks with your description.

Default behaviour

If you selected a country during onboarding, that becomes your default location filter. You can change or remove it at any time.

With no location filter, you see leads from all countries. This may include leads outside your addressable market.

Use cases

Regional sales teams: Filter to your assigned territory.

Time zone considerations: Target countries in time zones that work for your outreach schedule.

Market expansion: Test new geographies by running the same search with different location filters.

Compliance: Some products cannot be sold in certain regions. Filter those out.

Combining with other signals

Location alone does not indicate intent. Combine with:

  • Job title to find decision-makers in your region
  • Industry to find your vertical in specific countries
  • Post Engagement to see location + intent signals together
