Filtering leads by technology used
Find leads at companies using specific tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or AWS with the technographics filter.
Last updated: 8 August 2026
The technographics filter finds leads at companies using specific technologies. This is powerful for targeting based on tech stack compatibility.
How it works
Enter a technology name and LinkDeal filters results to people at companies known to use that tool. This works through CrustData's technographics database.
Important: title case required
Technology names must use title case:
- Correct: Salesforce, HubSpot, AWS, Stripe
- Incorrect: salesforce, hubspot, aws, stripe
LinkDeal auto-corrects common variations, but using title case ensures best results.
Cost
The technographics filter adds 10 credits to your search cost. This is because it requires an additional data lookup.
| Search type | Base cost | With technographics |
|---|---|---|
| Post Engagement | 5 credits/post | 15 credits/post |
| ICP Search | N/A | Not available |
Note: Technographics filter is only available for Post Engagement search.
Examples
CRM targeting:
- Salesforce - find companies using Salesforce
- HubSpot - find HubSpot users
- Pipedrive - find smaller sales teams
Marketing tools:
- Marketo - enterprise marketing teams
- Mailchimp - SMB email marketers
- Segment - data-aware teams
Infrastructure:
- AWS - companies on Amazon cloud
- Snowflake - data-focused organisations
- Stripe - product-led companies
Use cases
Competitive displacement: Find companies using your competitor's product.
Integration selling: Find companies using tools you integrate with.
Stack compatibility: Target companies with tech stacks your product complements.
Combining with other filters
Technographics combines powerfully with job title:
- Salesforce + Sales Operations = RevOps people at Salesforce shops
- HubSpot + Marketing Manager = Marketing managers using HubSpot
This finds highly targeted leads who are likely to understand your product's value.
Limitations
- Not all companies have technographic data
- Newer tools or smaller vendors may not be in the database
- Data updates periodically but may not reflect recent changes
